Your pet is your family, but lately things have been feeling hard with them. It's been hard to enjoy all the little things, and take care of yourself on top of it all.
Your cat bolts from noises, visitors, or even you.
Your dog barks, hides, or panics around people or other animals.
You've tried training, the vet, searching the internet for hours and nothing seems to fit.
You're wondering if your pet is okay and happy and worry you aren't doing enough.
You're not alone — and you’re not failing.
I help worried pets and their devoted humans find understanding, tools, and care without stigma. My focus is helping anxious pets thrive alongside the humans who love them — especially those who are neurodiverse, queer, or have been made to feel unheard.
You and your pet deserve understanding, not judgment — support that honors your identity, your needs, and your bond.
Plans created with you that honor your skill, knowledge and experience.
Multiple formats, flexible pacing, zero shame if you need to pause or pivot.
Deep respect for your pet's emotional world and welfare. We never push them faster than they're ready.
Compassionate, evidence-based methods that meet you where you are your pet are with your goals and needs in mind.
A radically inclusive space.* queer-affirming, anti-ableist, anti-racist, and always learning.
* I can never guarantee I am a "safe space" because I can't decide if that is true. I am always striving to be as supportive as I can.
You're not alone — and you’re not failing. Together, we can figure out how to support everyone in your life.

At Wise Whiskers Training, I offer private, compassionate training for pet parents of cats and dogs—both online and in person. My goal is to help you better understand your pet’s behavior, meet their needs, and build more confidence and joy in your life together. I specialize in supporting pets with fear, anxiety, aggression, and other challenging behaviors, but I also love helping families simply have more fun with their pets.
A little bit about my method and approach: I am a welfare-based, force free trainer. I focus on meeting all of a pet's needs, teaching them skills to help navigate the world, and setting them up for success. My job is 85% educating you about your pet. I never use or recommend punishment techniques like prong collars or e-collars. If you are a pet parent who uses them now - I am happy to work with you, we will work together to help your pet feel safe and learn skills so you don't need to rely on those tools.
