My late cat Charm (aka Master Charming)
Whether your cat hides every time someone comes over, growls when you try to pick them up, pees outside the litter box, or absolutely melts down at the vet — you're not imagining the struggle. And you’re not out of options. There are things we can do to help them feel safer, more confident, and more understood.
And honestly? I know how much it takes to care for an anxious cat, because I’ve lived it. I’m here to support you and your cat — without judgment, pressure, or a bunch of homework that doesn’t actually help.
What I can help with:
Your cat disappears the second someone walks through the door
They hiss, swat, or bite when approached or touched
They’re not using the litter box consistently
They seem jumpy, on edge, or overstimulated
There is tension or fighting between cats in the house
You feel like you have to tiptoe around them
They hide, growl, hiss or bite with handling or at the vet
Your vet recommended working with a cat behavior consultant.
Cat behavior can be complex, but it's not mysterious and it's not unchangeable. I work with you to create a compassionate plan that fits both your life and your cat’s needs.
Effective behavior change requires an individual approach - for your cat and you. We'll work together to create a plan for your family and adjust along the way as your cat learns and grows. The goal is lasting change and harmony, supported by a system that works in real life. I offer both online and in-person sessions for flexible, accessible learning.
After each session, you’ll receive a clear, easy-to-follow summary—and if it doesn’t feel easy, I’ll revise it so it works for you. Between sessions, I’m available by email for questions, and membership clients can book short check-ins most days of the week to get support when they need it. I’ll also collaborate directly with your vet, trainers, or other care professionals so you don’t have to play translator or advocate alone. That way, you can focus on your cat—and on taking care of yourself.
Caring for a sensitive pet can bring up big feelings—and you deserve support, too. My approach is rooted in compassion and a trauma-informed framework, honoring both your pet’s needs and your own. I create a safe, affirming space for queer and neurodivergent pet parents, where you don’t have to mask, feel judged, or push past your limits. Together, we’ll build understanding, confidence, and connection—for your cat and for you.

Can my cat really change?
YES! I’ve helped cats with a wide range of challenges, and helped first-time cat parents understand what cats need. We will learn together what your cat is communicating, what its underlying challenges are, how to provide enrichment that is effective, and more.
Can you train cats?
Yes! Not only can you train cats to do fun things like tricks, you can also teach them skills that help them with everyday life. Plus, a lot of our work will be understanding what cats need to thrive and how we can set up the environment for them.
